How to play

The operation of the game is very simple, on the map there are 9 zones marked and each of them contains a test that you must solve, but they are out of order, so they all have the number 1.

To start the game you have to read the introduction below, which will indicate the first zone to visit. In each zone there is a test that you must solve, at the end of the explanation there is a blank space where you can write the answer. If it is correct, a text will appear indicating the next zone. It is important to write the answer in lower case and without accent, as well as to do the tests in order.

To solve the tests and find the areas you only need the information available in the app and information on the street: monuments, inscriptions, statues… The keys can be numbers or texts, they must be without accents or capital letters.

We hope you enjoy it.

Let’s start:

La Brújula de Fawcett – Investigation agency

A few days ago, a strange case related to Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, better known as El Cid Campeador, arrived at our agency “La Brújula de Fawcett”. The report talks about a mysterious chest full of treasures that belonged to the Cid.

According to legend, when the Cid was unjustly exiled by Alfonso VI, he had to ask for a loan to pay the 300 knights who accompanied him. He asked some Jews from Burgos. He left a chest supposedly full of coins as a guarantee for the loan. What would be the surprise of those lenders when they opened the chest? They were not coins but sand that they found.

That’s all we know, but the evil tongues of the time speak of the existence of a chest, where El Cid kept all the treasures collected in his exploits. The whereabouts of this priceless chest, between legend and reality, were never known.

Until the other day, when we received a tip about the existence of the chest and its possible location. One of our informants, always on the lookout for the rumors that are swirling around the streets, sent us an intriguing text message: The chest is real; meet me at Plaza del Cid.

It seems that a new Fawcett’s Compass investigation is underway. Will we manage to find the Cid’s chest? This begins.
